Staff of the RVCDP have been schooled on the various aspects of the project, in an induction/orientation workshop, which took place in the Video Conferencing hall of the PMU building of the RVCDP in Bamenda, July 20, 2024.
Chaired by the Project Coordinator, Mr. Muluh G. NGUH, the workshop was facilitated by the head of Administration and Finance, Dr. Mrs. Sama Louisette, and the Monitoring and Evaluation expert on the Project, Mr. Mbom Emmanuel.
Key topics discussed included: job descriptions, the organigram of the project, levels of management, mail circulation chart, fixed assets management and issues bordering on the organization or undertaking of training and seminars by members of staff.
Staff were also educated on procedures for recruitment, staff training and capacity building, policies regarding termination of employment, guidelines for handling health-related absences and insurances, retirement processes as well as procedures for requesting leave and other permissions.
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) expert, Mr. Mbom Emmanuel on his part emphasized roles of staff in M&E plan and each staff member’s contribution to the M&E framework, staff performance and evaluation criteria and the importance of adhering to government standards, sanctions and consequences for underperformance in accordance with official government regulations, monitoring and regular tracking of project activities and strategies for managing and improving staff performance.
The seminar was generally aimed to enhance understanding of staff roles, ensure efficiency, and compliance to both internal, government and donor standards, ultimately contributing to the success of the RVCDP.
The highly interactive meeting was an opportunity for staff to ask questions for clarity and get everyone on the same page for effective execution of the project.
