The curtains have been drawn on the 2nd Steering Committee Meeting of the Rice Value Chain Development Project. The meeting took place in Yaounde, Thursday, 01 February 2024, at the United International Hotel, under the distinguished chairmanship of Mr. Gabriel MBAIROBE, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development. 

The meeting had in attendance the Governor of the North-West Region, Mr. LELE Lafrique, who doubles as the Vice-President of the Steering Committee, representatives of various establishments, the Presidents of the Regional Assemblies of the North West, West and Far North Regions, Representatives of farmers, and other stakeholders. 

The Committee adopted the minutes of the last meeting, reviewed the state of realization of the resolutions of the last meeting and adopted the annual progress report for 2023. The gathering was also an opportunity for the Committee members to adopt the work plan and budget for the 2024 financial year, all these presented by the National Project Coordinator of the RVCDP, Mr. MULUH Gregory, who also doubles as the Secretary of the Steering Committee.The meeting ended with a firm resolve by stakeholders, each in their various areas of competence, to put all hands on deck to meet all the objectives of the RVCDP for the 2024 financial year and throughout the duration of the project.
